30 Field Trips in 60 Days

1. Everyone gets $10 to find a garage sale treasure 
2. As a family, pick any restaurant in town for a family lunch
3. Explore Jacksonville Illinois 
4. Visit Camp Butler National Cemetery 
5.Visit the National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City 
6 . Visit Lincoln’s New Salem
7. Visit the Grave of Ann Rutledge in Oakland Cemetery, Petersburg
8. Tour Lincoln’s Tomb
9.Play at SkyZone

10 .Visit local war memorials
11. Paint ceramics at China Towne 
12. Go bowling
13. Learn to play pool
14. Pick a craft 
15. Visit Woodlawn Farm, a stop on the Underground Railroad 
16.. Listen to a concert at the Rees Memorial Carillon 
17. Check out the Illini Bird Fanciers bird fair at the Illinois State Fairgrounds
18. Visit the Illinois State Military Museum 
19. Enjoy bird watching at Adams Wildlife Sanctuary 
20. Play at a new (to us) park (we chose Bergen Park)
21. Visit the local Wildlife Sanctuary at dusk (we counted 58 deer)
22. Explore the Butterfly House in St. Louis 
23. Visit Cahokia Mounds near Collinsville Illinois 
24. Feed the ducks at Washington Park
25. Visit the Farmers Market and select a new veggie to take home and try
26. Explore the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Museum
27. Visit the Elijah Iles House 
28. Pick a new book for summer! Check out SpMoms’ book nook!
29. Paint rocks and hide in the park for others
30. Summer kickoff party day…Knight’s Action Park, Ice Deli, and grill out for dinner with friends!
