This class prepares children ages 3-8 for the arrival of a new brother or sister. Parents do attend with their child(ren). Children will learn about newborn babies including how to touch/hold their new baby and what a newborn baby is all about. They’ll also tour the Birth Center and stop by the nursery to see a real baby. There will be a graduation ceremony at the end of class complete with a certificate and button to wear. Grandparents are also welcome.

Registration: Pre-registration is required. Please call 744-2229 or 800-392-6587 to register for this class.
Instructor: A registered nurse from the Birth Center will teach the class.
Location: Class will be held in Conference Room Q on the lobby level of the Carol Jo Vecchie Women’s and Children’s Center at St. John’s Hospital. Parking is available in the ramp at 9th and Carpenter Street. Please enter through Carol Jo Vecchie main lobby. Please arrive a few minutes early to collect class materials.
