The American Red Cross serving South Central Illinois needs your help in identifying and recognizing heroes among us. Every day people do heroic things that make our community a better place to live. These humble heroes collect food items for the local pantry, organize a neighborhood safety program or use their CPR training to save a life.
The American Red Cross serving South Central Illinois is seeking nominations for the inaugural Heroes of the Heartland Dinner on July 24, 2015. Hero nominations are being accepted in eight categories: Civic, Community, Healthcare, Military, Public Safety, Senior, Youth, and Workplace.
If you know a local hero, please take a few minutes to complete the Heroes nomination form and share their story. The nomination deadline is June 14, 2015. Submit your nomination online at redcross.org/il/springfield/2015Hero or call the Red Cross at 217-787-7602 to receive a form.
