Care Packages for College Kids

Thank you to Springfield Mom Shelly Nielsen and her friends for sharing this great idea with our reader families. These Moms gather to make care packages for their college students, and recently it was to stock them up for finals week! Shelley shared “it’s wonderful to see everyone and catch up on how everyone is doing (moms and students)!” The kids certainly love getting the type of mail that will never go out of style: something from home, made with love, filled with food, especially for them! Working as a group is so much more fun, as everyone can come with a few items and then assemble for a nice variety for the students’ care packages. Most of all, it’s a great excuse to share some quality time with other Moms.  There’s no better way to get through the ages and stages of motherhood than to swap stories and advice with other Moms who are in the midst WITH you or have already “been there, done that” and can shed some light and reassurance that all will be okay!
