Springfield Parents for Students with Disabilities

Facebook PageFacebook

Springfield Parents for Students with Disabilities (SPSD) was established in the Spring of 2007. It’s a group of parents who come together while searching to obtain appropriate instruction and accommodations for our children in school.

The group offers support and information regarding special education, community resources, and a variety of topics related to raising a child with special needs.  Participate to experience the power of parents helping parents.

SPSD parents are all at various stages in our children’s educational careers and are willing to help other parents who may feel lost in the system. We welcome families from both public and private schools.

We are a support group for anyone who has or interacts with children who have ANY disabilty. SPSD is not a disability-specific group.

An organization called Family Matters would be very helpful with your child’s rights in the school districts. It is one the Springfield Moms website. If you have any questions please call me at 217-757-0009

Would like information on a support group for moms that are not working, kids in school and needs support to get through the week with other moms support. Sincerely, Virginia Robles, Lisa Pisani-my daughter.
