At WCP, we believe that young children learn best through constructive play. Our play-based program, based on the Illinois Early Learning Standards, enriches children’s social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. We offer learning opportunities that foster individuality, independence, and self-esteem, as well as friendships and social problem-solving skills.
As a cooperative school, we value family involvement in their child’s early education journey. Parents and family members actively participate in our operating board, assist our experienced teachers in the classroom, and help shape the direction and vision of our program.
Program Details:
- Ages: 2 1/2 to 5 years old
- Half-day classes
- School Year: Week after Labor Day to week before Memorial Day
- Follows Springfield District 186 Calendar for holidays and breaks
Choose from our flexible programming options:
- 2 Day Class (Ages 2 1/2+): Tues & Thurs, 9:00 – 11:30 am
- 3 Day Class (Ages 3-4): Mon, Wed, & Fri, 9:00 – 11:30 am
- 4 Day Class (Ages 4-5): Mon through Thurs, 12:30 – 3:00 pm
Waitlists are available if classes reach maximum enrollment, and tuition assistance is offered based on family need.
