Did you know that 2 out of 3 people will be impacted by a drunk driving crash in their lifetime?
In honor of Amy Thomas, her sister Emily of Sherman is organizing a walk fundraiser to bring awareness and to honor her life on August 27 in the Sherman Park Pavilion at 9:00 a.m. We walk to raise awareness to do the right thing. Think before you drink. Do not drive. Walk Like MADD provides an outlet for those impacted by drunk and drugged driving to channel their grief into hope and healing and provides communities the chance to surround and support those hurting by taking action to prevent others from suffering.
How can YOU help? You can do your part by…
• Making a donation to help me reach my personal fundraising goal
• Walking alongside me to take steps to stop these violent crimes
• Spreading the word about Walk Like MADD by using the hashtag #WalkLikeMADD
Who is MADD? Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking. MADD supports drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors at no charge through local MADD victim advocates and our 24-Hour Victim Helpline 1-877-MADD-HELP. Learn more at madd.org.
