There are many milestones that we, as parents, endure that seem to deserve some sort of reward. A certificate of completion, a stripe in our badge, a pat on the back? Toilet training is definitely one of those!
Every parent who has endured toilet training, I salute you! For those of you who had children who “trained themselves”; I just can’t relate or comprehend this amazing gift. 🙂
Both of my children had different challenges in toilet training, and it wasn’t a quick nor easy process for either. One evening was so disgusting it’s become one of my classic stories that I will tell that always guarantees a big laugh, although I was NOT laughing at the time.
Regardless, it’s all part of parenting, and when our children put away their diapers and pull-ups for good, it’s time for everyone to celebrate! Check out these great reader submissions of their toilet training woes and successes!
