- Wear sunscreen!

- Go early before it gets too hot.
- Bring a cooler of snacks and drinks.
- If your child is potty training, you might want to keep a portable seat in the back of your car!
- Have a bag with a change of clothes for the kids, just in case
- Bring a bucket and a shovel if the park has a sandbox.
- Keep a First Aid Kit in the car.

- Heading for a park outing: put your yogurt in the freezer the day before and pack with you. My kids actually prefer the taste of these when they are frozen; it’s like an ice cream delight. Thanks to Anita Kratchovil of Rochester for this tip!
