Here’s a fun idea from New Berlin mom, Julie Mies. She borrowed the concept from the movie “The Bucket List,” where they created the list of things to do before you “kick the bucket.”
Take a positive spin on this with your kids and create your own Summer Bucket List, a Top Ten list of really cool things to do with your kids this summer.
Julie started the kids on a chore allowance, and they’re saving up their money to spend on the cool things to do that cost money. They also have several things on the list that don’t cost anything!
Here is the beginning of the Mies Family Summer “Bucket List.”
- Take a painting class
- Go to HSM at the Muni
- Visit 10 area parks
- Throw a summer party
The beginning of the Little Family’s “Bucket List” includes:
- Go on a Day Trip to two new destinations
- Deliver cookies to 3 neighbor friends and 3 new neighbors
- Have a lemonade stand to benefit The Parent Place
