It’s official at our house, the last day of school is today! Our summer schedule begins in just a few hours. This means lots of juggling for me, a work at-home mom, but it’s worth it! I reserved today a personal day to celebrate as well.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our teachers, administrators, staff, bus drivers and the many parent volunteers who work hard year-round at their schools. We are so grateful for all you do for our kids!
My first grade daughter was very sad last night at bedtime. She didn’t want the school year to end! She wrote a heartfelt letter to her teacher, Jason Curry, and the last line said “I wish you could be my teacher every year!”
As a parent, there isn’t much more I can say, but WOW and thank you for a job well-done.
I am repeatedly amazed at what teachers accomplish from the first day of school to the last. The first grade child that walked in the door last fall has transformed before my eyes!
Now that Summer is in full force, don’t forget to check the latest version of our Summer Camp Directory! We have several new additions, and there are so MANY options from one day specialty camps, 2-3 day camps or weekly camps all summer long.
And, be sure to share your ideas for our Summer Bucket List!
What are your family must-do’s this summer? Be creative and have fun!
