Sweetcorn, cow chips, hot blazing sun? It’s the perfect recipe for summer traditions in the midwest, particularly the greater Springfield area. As a Springfield native there are many traditions that stir up memories as a child. One of my favorites was heading out to the sweetcorn festival with my friends and my cousins who lived in Chatham.
