SpringfieldMoms is proud to be taking part in Memorial SportsCare Women’s Biathlon on September 21. NEW this year is the Biathlon Brigade which starts July 1st. It’s a 12-week training program to prepare for the event, and SpringfieldMoms is sponsoring two of our readers to join the training program! The biathlon consists of 12 miles of biking on gently rolling hills followed by a 3.1-mile run on a mostly flat course. At the end of the training program, you’ll be able to complete both – what an amazing achievement. This comes from someone who doesn’t even have my own bike…yet! If I can do this, anyone can!
- Who is going to join this experience with me?!
To qualify, you need to commit to the weekly training sessions that begin Tuesday July 1st (note okay to miss a few for summer vacations), post a weekly facebook update on your progress, keep a journal of entries every other week about your progress and the experience. We will share some of your blog entries with the SpMoms community and celebrate together at week 12. It’s a great way to form new friendships and prioritize taking care of you! Send me an email to kim.leistner@gmail.com by June 1st and let me know if you’d like to join and WHY! We will announce our two sponsored participants on June 6th
The Brigade gives us the opportunity to work with two Memorial Sportscare trainers; meet them in this video here.
