Schlitt Park is on Springfield’s west side, off Oakmont Drive north of Old Jacksonville Road. The park is bordered by Owen Marsh Elementary School to the north, an apartment complex to the south, a residential neighborhood to the west and industry to the east.
Schlitt Park contains 2 baseball fields, one which is lighted and has an announcer’s box. A concession building with restrooms is located on the park’s south side, convenient to the parking lot. The park has one drinking fountain and a few trees. Vehicular access is provided on Sharon Drive to parking lots along the west and south sides of the park accommodating about 120 vehicles.
