My son Spencer is a Pokemon fan. When we go to Five Below, his sister will find five $1 items, but Spencer prefers one $5 Pokemon toy. So, I knew that for his 8th birthday, we’d have a Pokemon theme!
We began with a scavenger hunt. After all, you’ve “GOTTA CATCH ‘EM ALL!” We used free printables from Bombshell Bling.
We also played Pikachu ball toss. I colored 6 ping-pong balls to look like the red, white, and black poke balls and then taped numbers (20-40-60-80-100) on the inside of small round garbage cans and the boys had to throw the balls in the cans and add up their total points. Kind of like the bozo the clown game, do you remember that?!
Treats were easy – I had cookies shaped like 8s for his eighth birthday, plus round cookies decorated as poke blls.
All the boys got a pack of Pokemon cards to take home at the end of the party.
