There are many things that can trigger those childhood memories. A song, a phrase, a piece of clothing or… a toy.
Last night I enjoyed a perfect summer evening at the movies with my kids. I knew Toy Story 3 would be good….maybe even great, but I had no idea that beyond laughing at the constant creativity and humorous lines, I was actually moved to misty eyes!
Thankfully, our SpMoms readers have my back, and after making a post on our fan page, several readers admitted that they cried at TS3 too?!
Why? Nostalgia! We all have those special toys that brought us hours of creative play, unconditional love, and the ability to make us feel loved, comforted, and safe. I don’t want to give away anything in the movie, but I will tell you that when it’s over, you may have a harder time clearing out the toy clutter in your home!
My kids and I agreed that we are going to set up a toy display now and take a photo to document the whole crew, knowing that we realistically can’t save them all! But, the special chosen ones…will remain forever in our hearts and in the keepsake box.
