Mock turtles are a quick and easy treat to make, and you can also involve the kids! Make extra, because they are always a big hit.
Ingredients
- 1 bag of pretzels – windowpane shapes work best, but circles will work too
- 1 bag of Rolos – if you can’t find a bag, buy several individual rolls
- 1 bag of pecan halves
Preheat the oven to 225 degrees. Lay the pretzels on a cookie sheet in a single layer. Place a Rolo candy on the top of each pretzel, in the middle. Cook for about 5 minutes, just long enough for the candies to start to melt. Remove, and push a pecan half into the top of each mock turtle (you should be able to somewhat flatten the candy when you push it down). Let cool.
