This picture represents visions of sugarplums and dreams. The natural smile of my oldest daughter shows her passion for dance and performance. In her eyes and smile are the dreams of dancing the “big girl” parts in the Nutcracker someday. She twirls all around the house, leaps from room to room, and is practicing non-stop and loving it all the same.
This photo is timely to represent the many family traditions in our household this weekend as Christmas is a favorite for so many reasons. The Nutcracker is a tradition I’ve enjoyed since age six; and it’s a joy to share it with my family. Knowing I will get to see all of my siblings, nieces and nephews, and family over at mom and dad’s house; it just isn’t Christmas to me without this special group! The food and gifts are much appreciated, but we all know that what truly matters is the time we spend with those we love.
