This free lending library consists of books, journals, and DVDs related to early childhood, parenting, and young children with special needs. You can use our electronic catalog to search the library collection.

Between your child’s birth and 3rd birthday, you have the opportunity to take important steps toward your child’s healthy development. Illinois Early Intervention encourages you to learn more about the range of services it provides in homes and other learning environments statewide to infants and toddlers experiencing or at risk for developmental delays. Illinois Early Intervention may help you to improve your child’s developmental and educational growth, make your child more independent, and give your child the best possible start in life.

The Illinois Early Childhood Intervention Clearinghouse has a large lending library devoted to young children. Enjoy resources in all areas of parenting, from working with children with special needs to everyday parenting concerns like toilet training, language and literacy development and child care issues.

In addition, you can participate by posting to their blog or by sending your success stories. You can obtain helpful information from the Illinois Early Intervention Clearinghouse’s library and newsletter.
