We were thrilled that the weather cooperated with the 8th Annual Kids Costume Contest at the Halloween at the Market. Many thanks to Downtown Springfield Inc., Children’s Miracle Network of St. John’s Children’s Hospital, Illinois National Bank, Sara Freitag State Farm Insurance and our additional activity sponsors Westminster Coop Preschool and the Girls Scouts. Families could enjoy free activities, meet Blues Clues, take Pumpkin Pics next to the festive fall display, while waiting for the contest to begin.

As always, the families outdid themselves in creativity, and the kids were having fun! Our judges had the hard task of choosing the top 3 in each age category. Nine winners received a goodie bag with a gift card to Barnes & Noble courtesy of SpringfieldMoms.org, local produce recipes from the Illinois Stewardship Alliance, State Farm bag from Sara Freitag, CMN goodies and a Farmer’s Market resuable tote courtesy of Downtown Springfield Inc.
