What a difference 9 years has made! I look at this picture, the age of my young daughters and the condo we lived in at the time with our loving dog Broddy….so much has changed and what a journey it’s been!

What a wonderful time of year. Time to slow down, reflect and enjoy quality down time. I am so thankful for this time of year. There is much to be grateful for in our strong and beautiful country, but most of all it’s the people that comprise our country, our communities and our families that I’m celebrating today. The innate good in others keeps me going, and I’m grateful for the constant reminders of that. Just last night, my daughters helped ring the bell for two hours for the Salvation Army to raise money, SO many people took the 60 seconds to open their wallet, drop something in the can, and share a nice Thanksgiving greeting and a smile. Thank you for showing them how important it is to give back to others. For the person that let’s you go first at the stop sign, the one who pays for your coffee unexpectedly, the friendly smile from the cashier at the gas station, for all of these things, I am grateful.
Simple gratitude is so easy to find, and this photo of my daughters having a GREAT time together will always be one of my favorite memories of gratitude. What a gift to watch them grow and bond as sisters.
