  • Elizabeth K. says, “Multiple piles… Each of us have our own basket… And one basket every few days.”
  • Shanda S. says, “Have multiple laundry baskets. Each one is for something different: towels, blue jeans, whites, etc. Also use 4 dryer laundryballs. Helps cut down on the drying time.”
  • Mindy B. says, “We also have multiple baskets, ex: one for whites, one for darks, etc. Then I can just grab it and do a load, no sorting needed. Also, last time my husband cleaned the vent hose from the dryer he also took off the back of the dryer and we cleaned out the whole thing where the lint can gather before it even gets to the hose. It’s amazing how much it has shortened the drying time needed. Let alone it was probably a fire hazard since we usually just cleaned the hose part every once in awhile. I don’t go to the kids’ rooms and gather dirty clothes, they have to get them into the baskets or they will run out of something. They are old enough to know better.”
  • Torun T. says, “Change clothes more seldomly! I know you have a different culture in the US than here in Europe, but it’s actually possible to use one shower towel for one week, one pair of jeans for at least 4 days etc. As long as you shower every day and make sure you’re not stinky, it’s possible to economize. Good for the environment and good for your health!”
