We just had our SpringfieldMoms.org Adopt-a-Day last week at the Central Illinois Community Blood Center. It’s something we believe in being consistent on. Those of you that can donate, it’s the gift that save lives, changes lives, and doesn’t cost anything but your time. There’s a local area boy that needs our help as well. Meet Gabriel.
Gabriel needs regular blood transfusions and needs a bone marrow transplant to cure his rare anemia. Please donate blood if you can and register for bone marrow donation!http://marrow.org/Join/Join_the_Registry.aspx
As his mother Lauren says, please donate even if you don’t match Gabriels blood type of A+; there is always someone in need.
Like his page on facebook and help spread the word to your friends!
Thank you Lauren for inspiring others.
Hello,
Local Artists are doing a charity Art show this coming Thursday to benefit Gabriel the little guy getting a bone marrow transplant in August. The event will be at Donnie’s Home Spun starting at 5:30pm. The event is kid friendly. We hope to see Springfieldmoms there. Many artists will be donating to the event and prices vary for the art from $5 & up. There will also be donation containers for those wanting to help the family. The August bone marrow transplant will involve a month long stay in St Louis for Gabriel and his family. They currently have one income and could really use the help. You may post information regarding this event. Gabriel’s mother and I have become friends supporting each other over the last months. Our son Xavier and Gabriel share the same Hematologist/Oncologist at St John’s Hospital. We will be donating ceramics for the event.
