Today and every day I am grateful for my dad.
He exemplifies honesty, hard work and patient, unconditional love. We all know that parenting is a lifelong “gig,” and I get a good laugh when I reflect that I’m 50 years old, and when my Dad is over at my house, he is still there to kill a spider for me, fix a broken item or assemble new shelving!
Cheers to all of the dads, stepdads, grandpas and father figures out there. Thanks for providing your point of view, your support and most of all for giving of your time to play with us, to listen and to help us through the good, the bad and the unknown.
I’m so thankful to have the best dad I could ask for! And to my mom (who dutifully reads my blog), you know I feel the same about you!
