Being the third largest city in the United States, it’s no surprise that there are countless things to do, places to eat, and plenty of places to stay while you’re there. The list below provides some helpful tips and resources for the downtown Chicago area.

 

Places to Stay

There are dozens of hotels in the downtown area, so it can be difficult to decide where to stay. Whether you’re looking for hotels that are more family-friendly, or something with a little more glitz, there are many options. Rates will vary greatly depending on the time of year or if there are large events in the area. Keep an eye on sites such as Priceline or Hotwire, as you can sometimes find rates as much as 50-75% off of their normal nightly rates. Tip: If you are driving, keep a close eye on parking options. Most downtown hotels charge a high fee for nightly parking, between $50-100 depending on the hotel. Below are some few reader favorites:
