Urban Sassafras hosts classes for “us kiddos” each month. Pre-school age children can bring their grown-ups and work together to create delightful art projects for taking home or gifting. Everyone will also enjoy a special seasonal treat and drink as they learn and play. Classes are $40. You can sign up here for these fun classes.
Happy Hearts – Thursdsay, February 12th @ 10am OR Saturday, February 14th @ 9am
it’s a time to celebrate love, so let’s create some heartfelt gifts and decor! We will begin by painting a canvas, then practice cutting out hearts to make a lovely wreath. We’ll break for a heart-
themed snack, and finish class by decorating a beautiful candle.
Cat in the Hat – Thursday, March 12th @ 10am OR saturday, March 14th @ 9am
March honors the great Dr. Seuss, and so this month we will celebrate him too! We will make a hat just like cat’s, create thing one & thing two toys and don’t forget about fish! We will have a suess-
themed snack and milk or juice to drink.
Butterflies, Bugs & Birds – Thursday, April 16th @ 10am OR Saturday, April 18th @ 9am
Butterflies, bugs & birds, oh my! For our first project we will cut & fold to create paper butterflies. Secondly, we’ll recycle egg cartons and create cute little bug friends! lastly, We will gather
items to build a spring nest for our fabric bird. We will break for snack & enjoy milk or juice to drink.
May flowers – Thursday, May 14th @ 10am
April showers bring may flowers and we’ll be painting 4 different types this month! If your kiddo likes to paint, this is the class for them. We will explore different painting methods such as using
forks, que tips, potatoes and more! flower cookies will fill our tummies at snack time & we’ll wash them down with milk or juice.
June is for jewelry – Thursday, June 18th @ 10am
Let’s get fancy this month as we create jelly bean bracelets, paper plate necklaces & shrinky dink charms! Boys & girls both will enjoy this creative class as we let everyone have the freedom to design
their own style! We will break for a yummy snack & milk or juice to drink.
Porch Party – Thursday, July 16th @ 10am
Summer is a time for lounging on the porch or deck so we’ll create some decor for that! first we’ll make beautiful lanterns, then we’ll cool off with fun paper fans! we’ll break for an ice cold snack &
drink, then finish our class by making wind chimes.
