I’ve always been a big fan of custom signs for special occasions, but local sisters Caitlin and Taylor, owners of Card My Yard have nailed this concept for a modern, fun way to recognize a big event in your family or workplace.
For my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary this summer, I visited their website and saw how easy it was to customize a message and plan all of the details with ease via their online form. They contacted me right away so I was clear on what time they would set up the night before so when my parents stepped out to gather their morning newspaper from the porch, they would be delighted with the surprise sign in their yard! It kicked off their special day with delight and also alerted many of their neighbors to stop by and wish them well.
So, when my stepson Carson, was coming home after being gone for seven months at basic training and combat media training with the Army National Guard, we knew it was time for another sign! His flight didn’t arrive until 1:00 a.m. but when they pulled in the driveway, we wanted the sign to kick off his Welcome Home with pride.
