Camp Compass is a partnership between Compass for Kids and Springfield Public Schools – District 186 for elementary summer learning. Multiple sites will be hosted at local elementary schools. The overarching purpose of Camp Compass is to prevent summer learning loss and close the achievement gaps and opportunity gaps that exist between low-income students and their higher-income peers. Camp Compass includes a blend of academic instruction taught by certified teachers, field trips, and enrichment activities.
There is no cost to participate in the program, and daily transportation is provided.
Students must be referred by their school in order to participate – if you have questions or would like more information, call 217-691-1094 or visit: https://www.compassforkids.org/programs/
