Like to help people and give back to your community? Like flexibility and have 4 hours or more per month to volunteer?
If so, the American Red Cross is looking for volunteers to help with our mission the roles are simple but are critical to our lifesaving mission!
Greatest Needs (Training provided; no experience required)
Service to the Armed Forces Contact (Work from Home option)
- Ensure that military families know that they are supported during critical times of entering the military and preparing deployment
Disaster Casework Follow-Up
- Disaster caseworker supports the mission by following up with disaster clients by phone to ensure they have the support needed to recover.
DAT Responder (Opportunity to deploy to other state disasters)
- Disaster Action Teams provide 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, particularly house fires, ensuring that those affected have access to resources for basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing.
DAT Coordinator (Work from Home option)
- Dispatch local disaster calls that come into the region.
- Provide follow-up dispatch to casework team when needed.
