The Springfield Area Arts council will host its 38th annual First Night Springfield today, December 31, 2024. The event schedule can be found here. Highlights include:
Ribbon cutting ceremony: 12 PM at the Presidential Museum.
Live performances begin: 3 PM at the Hoogland and Dana-Thomas House.
Midnight Countdown with confetti cannons: 4 PM at the Presidential Museum.
Hot Chocolate Walk Begins: 3 PM at The Wakery, Daisy Jane’s, Beelzebunz, Studio on 6th, The Cats’ Pyjamas, and Dana-Thomas House.
Final performances begin: 7 PM at the Hoogland.
Fireworks: 8 PM on the corner of 4th St and Capitol Ave.
