Play Ball! The Springfield Sliders Team Up With St. John's Hospital For "Safe At Home" Games

Two of  our favorite organizations are teaming up this summer for area families.  The Springfield Sliders have recruited St. John's Hospital to their roster this season to help drive home the importance of staying safe during the summer. The new "Safe at Home" program will offer fans thousand of free giveaways designed to improve safety in and around the home during select home games throughout the season.

St. John's staff, along with the Springfield Fire Department, will also offer safety demonstrations and information during "Safe at Home" games.

"During the past two summers, the Springfield Sliders have brought great family entertainment back to Robin Roberts Stadium at Lanphier Park," said Jesse Bolder, owner, Springfield Sliders. "We're looking forward to another season of fun-filled evenings while engaging our fans with incentives and information to help keep families safe."

The "Safe at Home" program will provide fans with such items as free bike helmets, smoke detectors, oven mitts and safety lights during four promotional evenings in June and July.
