Chicken is a terrific meat to use to make inexpensive main dishes. Planning ahead or bulk cooking can help you cook economically and it can be a great time saver. It's convenient to know that you have something pre-prepared to quickly put into the oven or that you can add a few ingredients and have a nutritious meal ready.

 

This class will include a discussion and demonstrations on how to plan ahead and cook ahead to create numerous main dishes using chicken. You will learn different ways to prepare chicken for later use. Whole chickens are usually less costly than cut up chicken or chicken parts. You will be shown how to roast a whole chicken and given some ideas on using the leftovers. You will learn how to cut up a whole chicken.

 

Every participant will receive information on the safe storage of your precooked chicken and a recipe booklet will be included. There will be sampling of a several dishes using homemade precooked chicken.

 

The same class will be offered on March 17th 1:30-3:30 pm and March 18th 5:30-7:30 pm.
