Physics Days

March 7: Science at the Amusement Park

How many times do you think about science when you’re riding a ride at the amusement park? It plays more of a role than you might guess! Join the ISU Physics Club as they explore the science behind rides with demonstrations and activities. Date: Time: 12-2 p.m.

April 4: Energy

Energy is one of the central ideas in science and has many different forms. Join ISU’s Physics Club and discover how the Sun creates its heat and light, how energy is used in our bodies, and why energy does not really disappear when it’s “gone.”  12-2 p.m.

May 2: Electricity

How does the electricity from the power plant get to that outlet on your wall? How is electric current related to the atom, and what is it MADE of? On Physics Day you can explore the nature and behavior of electricity in a fun, safe, and *shocking* way!  12-2 p.m.

This program is free with paid admission of $6 per person ages 2 and above. Children under the age of 2 and members are free. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an admission-paying adult.
