Carol Jo Vecchie Women and Children's Center at St. John's Hospital 9am – 5pm,

This one day Lamaze class gives you in-depth preparation for your labor and delivery experience. You and your support person will learn the process of labor and delivery in order to work together and share the birth of your baby. This class covers Lamaze breathing and relaxation techniques, comfort measures during labor, pain control options as well as other coping strategies (massage techniques, positioning.) Other methods of birth (Cesarean delivery) will also be covered in class.

Registration: Registration is required. We encourage you to register by the beginning of your sixth month of pregnancy. Please contact the Personal Birth Consultant at 744-2229 to register for this class. The fee is $65 per couple. A $10 non-refundable deposit is to be sent to the instructor prior to the first class with the remaining $55 due the morning of class. If you need to cancel this class please call the Personal Birth Consultant at 744-2229. Please dress comfortably and bring 2 pillows.

Location: Class will be held in Classroom C/D on the 4th floor of the Carol Jo Vecchie building. Please park in the ramp and enter through the lobby. Please arrive a few minutes early to collect class materials.
