Jan's Dance Studio Inc., offers classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, lyrical, pointe, hip-hop, tumbling and ballroom to students ages 3 through adult. It features two spacious studios in a new building located in the center of Chatham, just off Route 4.
Jan Regan Burghart, a former professional dancer, founded the studio more than 25 years ago. While a number of her students have gone on to pursue dance in college and professionally, she believes dance provides invaluable benefits to all her students: Building self-confidence and
self-esteem and fostering a life-long appreciation for the arts.
The studio produces an annual recital in Springfield in which all students have the option of participating.
In addition, members of the studio's company, the Dazzlers, have traveled widely to perform, including at conventions around the country, at Disneyworld and on Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Lines in the Caribbean.
New students are accepted throughout the year.
