Who is ICAN?
The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc. (ICAN) is a nonprofit organization that was founded by Esther Booth Zorn and many other motivated women in 1982. ICAN has now grown to over 130 chapters throughout the United States and worldwide.
ICAN's Mission Statement To improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC). ICAN's Vision Statement A healthy reduction of the cesarean rate driven by women making evidence-based, risk appropriate childbirth decisions. Local support group to reach women who desire a VBAC or who are healing from a c-section.
We are here to educate women to make the right choice and to support them. Kids are welcomed. This event repeats monthly. Watch for change of place, time, and date.
First Meeting to be held Thursday June 23rd, at 9:30 am at Centennial Park.
