Artist Bio:

 

Jeff P. Garland was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. After receiving his Master of Fine Arts from Washington University in St Louis he began a college teaching career that led him up to Chicago. In Chicago, he began working as a Sculptor for a Chicago based company while his wife was receiving her Masters in Occupational Therapy. Jeff and his wife decided to raise their family closer to their hometown. They have settled down in Rochester to raise their three children, Brendhan 13, Maisyn 10 and Skylinn 6.

Jeff is now a Professor at Illinois College in Jacksonville and his wife works at Memorial Hospital. Jeff's sculptures can be found locally at the Henson Robinson Zoo (Cheetah and Butterfly), Hazel Dell School (Ostrich), St Aloysius School (St Al) and Chatham Library (wild Prairie). Jeff stays active promoting the arts to children through volunteering, outreach classes and workshops.  For more of his work visit: www.youexpand.com
