Sometimes turning on the radio, television or computer brings such sorrow into the day. Our hearts break for those families who have lost their children to violence, and it reminds us that every day is a blessing – even when the kids are going stir-crazy with the heat, fighting with their siblings or generally driving us crazy.
There’s been too much shocking and heartbreaking news — both locally and nationally — that reminds us of one simple fact: It’s a gift when we can hug our kids at the end of the day and tell them how much we love them.
