genH Coalition

The genH (generation Healthy!) Coalition was launched in October 2008 and has since grown into an impressive, multifaceted organization with a direct approach to improving child health and combating childhood obesity.

Since its inception, genH has created and helped implement numerous child-wellness programs throughout Sangamon County.

genH is a grassroots, member-driven coalition with a straightforward mission: to improve the health of all children and combat the childhood obesity epidemic through education, partnerships and programs focused on better nutrition and increased physical activity.

genH Coalition members include health professionals, educators, fitness experts, nutritionists, parents and concerned citizens from a broad cross-section of Springfield and surrounding communities who are concerned with improving the health of area children.
