Check out the classes hosted by new local business Kathi, Kelly, and Me! Last week, we joined a roomful of other ladies for a craft night of fun. The concept is similar to other local art parties, but one difference is that Kathi, Kelly and Me! offers a different creation each week.
Owners Kathi, Kelly and LeAnn taught together years ago, and they all still work in education. This summer, they founded their business based on their shared intersts in creating fun and beautiful things. They love art, love making crafts, and love to teach! What a great combination!
Classes are at 7 pm at Brickhouse on Wednesday evenings. We liked that it’s late enough to get moms like us through the bulk of parenting duties of after-school classes, driving to practices, making dinner, and the start of homework. You can order food and drink if you’d like. Each person gets a table, and all needed supplies are provided.
Last week, we painted and stenciled on wood to create “Love You to the Moon & Back” signs. They choose “forgiving” projects that work well for people of all skill levels. You can work on your own schedule. While we were there, some people worked more quickly to get home to put kids to bed or pick them up from sports practice, while others made more of an evening of it, taking some time to enjoy their Brickhouse meal while they waited for paint to dry. Typically, everyone will finish in 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
