22jun8:00 am- 12:00 pmFREE CPR/First Aid/AED Class at the Red Cross

Event Details

Summer is finally here!  With that, brings pools, cookouts, and fireworks.  While all of these events are packed with fun, they can also be dangerous if we are not prepared.  CPR from a bystander more than DOUBLES a person’s chances of surviving a sudden cardiac arrest.  Sadly though, fewer than 1/3 of sudden cardiac arrest victims receive bystander CPR.

That’s why your Americorps members at RedCross are offering a FREE CPR/First Aid/AED Class through the Springfield Moms website. Whether you have let your certification expire or have never taken a full certified class before, this is for you!  Anyone of high school age or older is welcome to attend this free event (normally upwards of $100). You will walk out with a two-year certification in Infant & Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED training, as well as the comfort of being prepared for whatever event this summer may bring!

Thursday June 22nd from 8am-12pm at the RedCross building 1045 Outer Park Dr, Springfield, IL 62704 (near HyVee on MacArthur).
