Children’s Holiday Store
At the Holiday Store, children shop (with the help of a volunteer “elf”) while their parents wait in a designated area. The store offers a variety of gifts ranging from $1.00 to $10.00 for little shoppers to choose from. Once they have chosen their special gifts for their loved ones, volunteers help children “bag and tag” their gifts before they leave the store.
Please help with this wonderful event by bringing your children to shop or by volunteering. It takes over 700 elves, greeters and wrappers to help our young shoppers in their quest to find the perfect gift.
One of the joys of being a volunteer is watching how carefully and thoughtfully children choose each gift and then seeing the happiness on their faces when they find the one that is just right! When they are done shopping and “wrapping” their gifts, they walk out with a smile on their face and a bounce in their step that reminds all of us that it really is better to give than to receive.
