Did you know that the Springfield Art Association (SAA) has an Art Outreach program? Offered in local schools, Art Outreach is also available to those who've chosen to homeschool.
The Art Association has a large list of portfolios, including Fundamentals, Animals, Impressionism, Native American, Quilts, Art of Africa and Black Americans, Art in Springfield, The Art of Dance, Photojournalism and more.
The Association prefers that you make a commitment throughout the school year and that you choose one theme per month. Then, for one week out of each month, you will have access to a portfolio of prints, some background information and other items necessary to complete your chosen portfolio. It's that easy!
They even have an orientation meeting for those who wish to participate. Because many schools avail themselves of this fantastic resource, mid-school year portfolios are limited. But it's never too early to start planning for next year! The widest selection can be found if you sign up in August.
