Event Details

The creation of the Army Medical Museum in 1862 changed medical research in the United States forever.  Look inside the wonders of the medical records and specimens sent in from Union medical officers!  Discover how and why technology for prosthetic limbs evolved quickly following the Civil War, and how it continues to evolve today. Help construct a 3-D printed prosthetic hand!  Parents are required to stay for the program to work with their child on the program project.

Registration IS required for this event!

 

Workshop from 9:30am – 12pm.

Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Classroom

112 North Sixth St. Springfield IL, 62701 (does not include museum admission).

Recommended for ages 8-12. Please only register the student as limited seats are available. For this workshop, an adult is required to stay for the program to work with their child on the project.
